The beginnings of rhythm
Rhythm is a way to tell how fast the notes should be played. We do this by counting BEATS.  Listen to a drum play four equal BEATS.
Click the play arrow twice.

A MEASURE is a regular grouping of beats (two, three, four or more).

A BAR LINE divides one measure from the next.

Now listen to the drum play 2 measures of 4 equal beats. Notice that there is no pause between the measures.

Drum 2 measures
Click the play arrow twice.
