Here is one measure of quarter note rests.

Here is one measure of half note rests.

Here is one measure of a whole note rest.
N.B. The whole note rest is suspended from the line of the staff and the half note rest is sitting on the line.

Here is one measure of eighth note rests.

Here is one measure of mixed rests.
Two sixteenth note rests, one eighth note rest, one quarter note rest and one half note rest.
